About Me

This is where I was born and raised for my first 12 years. That was back in the 50’s.

I grew up in Houston Texas and got interested in photography in high school. Set up my first dark room in my bathroom. I still remember that first 8×10 print in the developing tray. I was hooked. I read everything I could about photography and studied all of the greats that I admire, Edward Weston, Henry Cartier-Bresson, Minor White, Walker Evans, Paul Strand, Andre Kertesz, the greatest portrait photographer Arnold Newman, and of course Ansel Adams.  I eventually started freelancing while working for a major airline. I started a family and not knowing where my next check was coming from I went full time in the airline bussiness.  I never left photography though. Actually it allowed me to do the kind of photography I liked and I did not have to worry about what the client wanted. While working with Continental Airlines I moved to Bismark ND, then Columbus OH, and then ended up where I live now in Jacksonville FL. I have been married for 37 years to Lucie and I have two adult kids Jamie and Josh. Now, I am retired and free to roam the world and enjoy my photography. This is as of January of 2014. so expect to see this site updated more often.
